Teacher Education Programs Affiliated with NCMPS Jump to 11

Three established teacher education programs have affiliated with the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector following NCMPS’ 2024 MACTE recognition.
MACTE is the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education, a U.S. Department of Education-recognized organization which accredits Montessori teacher education programs.
The accreditation allows programs to affiliate with NCMPS just as they might with the American Montessori Society (AMS) or the Association Montessori International-USA (AMI-USA), the International Montessori Council (IMC), and seven more national and international organizations.
The programs (Arete Memphis Public Montessori Residency, City Garden Elementary Montessori Institute, and University of Delaware Montessori Teacher Residency) join eight National Center Montessori Teacher Residencies already affiliated with and operated by NCMPS.
NCMPS affiliated teacher education programs commit to training designed specifically for public Montessori educators, including standards-aligned curriculum, a residency model, coaching, and more.
More information about MACTE, MROs, and affiliation can be found here.
