12 Montessori Magnet Schools Recognized for Excellence

Magnet Schools of America (MSA) has recognized 12 of the 91 public Montessori magnet schools with its prestigious 2025 National Merit Awards.
The awards celebrate schools demonstrating exceptional commitment to MSA’s Five Pillars: diversity, innovative curriculum and professional development, academic excellence, leadership, and family and community partnership, according to their website.
“Each year, we have the privilege of recognizing magnet schools that truly set the bar for public education,” said Ramin Taheri, MSA CEO. “The schools awarded this honor exemplify the dedication, innovation, and impact that magnet programs bring to students and communities nationwide. They deserve to be celebrated as leaders in shaping the future of education.”

Kingswood Montessori STEM Magnet Elementary School in North Carolina

Joella C. Good Elementary Magnet program in Florida
Phyllis R. Miller Elementary in Florida
George Watts Montessori Elementary in North Carolina
Magnet Schools of Distinction:
Annie Fisher Montessori Magnet School in Connecticut
Beachside Montessori Village in Florida
Virginia Shuman Young Montessori Elementary School in Florida
Gulfport Montessori Elementary School in Florida
Lakewood Montessori Middle School in North Carolina
Award recipients will be celebrated at MSA’s annual conference April 7-10 in Nashville.
