MontessoriPublic—Print Edition
Volume 3 Number 1: Literacy
The Fall issue of MontessoriPublic—Print Edition is out! You can read it online here, and subscribe to a printed copy here.
We mail multiple copies to public Montessori schools, one for each teacher, based on their listing in the Montessori Census, so check to make sure your school is listed and up to date.
This issue focuses on literacy, featuring work from Lisel Taylor of Cornerstone Montessori Elementary School, Koren Clark from Wildflower Schools, NCMPS’ Maati Wafford, and more.
The winter issue will take on advocacy and policy: What is needed at a policy level to make public Montessori more accessible and effective? How have you advocated for public Montessori in your state or district? What has worked, what hasn’t, and what can we learn from your experience?
We’re always looking for well-considered, interesting treatments of this subject or any other public Montessori topic. Contact David Ayer at [email protected]. The deadline for the fall issue is December 31.
David worked in private Montessori for more than twenty years as a parent, three-to-six year-old and adolescent teacher, administrator, writer, speaker, and advocate. In 2016 he began working with the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector. David lives in Portland, Oregon.
